New Cards

Hi All! I wanted to share the latest greeting cards I have created. They are hot off the press and I will be adding them to my Etsy shop today!

Chalk Art Dabbles

I am branching out again and trying something new! I found out that they sell large pieces of chalkboard material at Home Depot and I could not resist buying a few to try my hand at chalk pastels. Recently, I signed up for the Luna Park Chalk Art Festival (which takes place this coming Saturday from 10-5) so I figured that now was a great time to try out this new medium.

The Royal Cows

Here are the royals of the deck of cards that I designed for Purple Cow. Which suit do you like the best?

IF - Rescue

I have been searching for the direction to take my children's illustrations for over a year now. It is really exciting to be able to say that I have found it! This is it! I am so excited to tackle the rest of my portfolio and steam ahead full speed. Thank you to all who have been supporting me as I search and learn. I could not have done it without you. :)

TouB Bags City Contest

Hi there! I have just submitted this image for a contest at TouB Bags! The contest is open for submission until August 26. The winner is determined by how many votes each artist receives. You can only vote one time a day and whoever has the most votes wins the prize! Please check it out at #toubcitycontest or see my Facebook page :).

The Librarian

Hi Everyone!

I have been so busy with art shows lately that it has not left a whole lot of free time for making art. I have managed to sneak this one in today! Yay!!

The art shows have been such a great experience. Thank you everyone who has come out to say hello! I am looking forward to Alameda Art Stroll next week. If you are in the area stop by! It is on Webster Street. :)

4th of July Print Sale

I am having a 4th of July sale today!! For today only, these 8x10 digital prints are $15! Please let me know if you are interested by emailing: jeskcantrell@gmail.com.

Happy 4th of July!

Digital Print Trial

Hi! So I am running a trial...I have been reluctant to produce digital re-prints of my work. I really want to emphasize the value of my hand-pulled woodblock prints. However, I also want my art to be affordable so I have had these 4 images reproduced and I am putting them up for sale on here and Facebook. The prints are each 8x10 and I am selling them for $25 each. If anyone is interested, please email me at jeskcantrell@gmail.com.

Father's Day

This is the card I am planning on sending to my dad for his special day :). I still have to make the envelope for it because its a little bit too big for any regular sized envelope. Looking forward to making crafty things!!

Art Shows and Prints

May has been full of local art shows. This is my first year doing these and so far they have been awesome! I have met some wonderful, talented people and I have had great support from my friends and family. Thank you to everyone, especially Moses!

This is the latest woodblock print. One of the first prints that I ever created was an abstract version of Sleeping Beauty. Now that I have had more experience with the printmaking process, I felt that it was time to revisit that fairy tale. Stay tuned for more on the process :)

Free Thinker

These are the latest prints pulled! There are 21 total, 7 of each color variation. I had an idea to use pattern as both part of the background and part of the character. I am really excited by the outcome!

"Free Thinker" will be available to purchase for the first time this weekend at the art show in Mountain View. Come and see me!

IF - Egg

Purple Cow...Bunny

I was asked to design something for Easter using our logo. This is the result! It will be posted on Purple Cow Websites' Facebook. :)

Spring Fling

Hello! I was recently commissioned to create a label for a chocolate/coffee beer made by a local brewery called Ale Industries. They were awesome  to work with and I really enjoyed creating the final piece!

Wind Up Doll

This is how I have felt for the last two weeks. I need to have the key in my back turned so that I can spring back to life and keep on making art!

Fadeaway Girl Study

This is a gouache study for a woodblock print I am thinking of creating. I have hung it on the wall in my apartment so that I can look at it over the next few days and make a decision.

Wings

IF - Myth

A little twist on the myth of Atlantis

Scarlet

Re-do of the piece posted a month ago.
